A hundred years faster
For the 100th anniversary of Audi Rodnaya Rech agency was given the task to develop new style guide for Audi graphic materials. In particular, the company changed the font and revised the approach to the original typography.
Small but significant changes in Audi typography: before and after
The system of pictograms was elaborated by the agency. It was based on Audi Dashboard Symbols. Technical symbols became the basis of the visual language.
The approach to the image of the car became more minimalistic.
In honor of the anniversary the Rodnaya Rech agency created the retro-futuristic Audi Calendar.
This calendar looks as if it was made by the Audi engineers from the past who fantasized what the future world would be like and predicted modern models of Audi cars in the unreal futuristic scenery.

While working on the calendar we used features, techniques and situations from futuristic illustrations of the 20s, 30s, 40s … 80s. We tried to use different styles and techniques of drawing to accentuate the epoch that we wanted to imitate.

Artworks for the calendar were created by a constellation of leading Russian illustrators.
